Aga Mulach, award winning actor, has been golfing since 1993. I played a round of golf with him recently to talk about his game.

Bong - What sparked your interest in golf?

Aga - Accidente lang pare! I was watching Mark Brooks on TV when he won the PGA Championship. I was telling myself that this guy looks so young and so happy with what he was doing. He had that look on his face that I could not forget. So I decided to watch more golf and slowly I understood the game.

Bong - Did you seek formal training?

Aga - none at the start, with the help of friends I just started to go to the driving range. Later on, I had some lessons with Vic Granada.

Bong - What is your most memorable golf experience?

Aga - The first time I played with Jennifer Rosales was really memorable. Imagine I was playing with the best female golfer we have, an LPGA player! Hindi ko malaman ang kikilos ko. The thing is, through her I met a lot of our top professional and amateurs, they became good friends of mine, and that's what makes it so memorable.

Bong - What inspires you to play golf?

Aga - Good scores!!! Every time I play well I can't wait to come back the next day and play again. Ang sarap ng feeling pagnagagawa mo ang shots na gusto mo. When you're on the golf course, it's a natural high. You forget your problems and as if life stops and you enjoy even for just 5 hours.

Bong - Do you have preferences or specifications regarding the clubs you use?

Aga - At my level now, It is not really important to me because I still can't feel the difference, Correcting my swing is hard enough!! Except for my putter, I bought it during my last trip to the states; I know it is a really good putter! Ang sarap mag putt, ang ganda ng weight ng putter ko.

Bong - How do you assess your game at this point?

Aga - I'm happy with my game, I enjoy golf more. I'm at the level that I think about the golf swing a little bit more, kaya lang the more inputs I get about the swing, the harder the game seems. Kasalana mo kasi ito Bong!!! J I have decided to play more golf, matagal ko ng gusto maging serious sa golf kaya lang my schedule would not allow me to play as much as I wanted.

Bong - What about Charlene? Do you think she'll take up the sport?

Aga - Syempre! As soon as she can start to take lessons I will bring her to you. I'm sure she will learn very fast because she's very athletic. Kita mo naman di ba when we went to the range with you ang lakas niya pumalo!

Bong- What is your goal?

Aga - Actually it's more of a dream, I dream to play golf everyday and worrying about nothing else but golf
