Accessibility- perhaps one of the main considerations looked into by most golfer/investors. Far enough from pollution suffered by all golf courses in Metro Manila but close enough in terms of travel time. One may be able to go to work in the morning and enjoy a round of golf after lunch. The access exit toll (Southwoods Exit) in Carmona is a very big factor why the course is one of the best visited among the new generation courses.

Two-18 hole courses- Usually a one "favorite" course syndrome is experienced by most developers offering a more than one 18 hole course. Not with Southwoods MASTERS and LEGENDS course. Both courses are given equal attention.

The locker rooms- probably the best with its 5 star hotel-like amenities. Still the deodorants, shaving creams, mouthwash, hair gel, etc. may be found. The management still makes sure that the shampoo and conditioner (always in pairs) are available at all times in each shower areas. And yes, still one can get those neat plastic white bags with the company logo for the golf shoes.

Main Clubhouse- Except for those big flies lurking over the fresh mango juice, service and food may be rated at 7 out of a possible 10. The exceptionally well-built and massive clubhouse offers areas where the weekend golfer may be able to enjoy his meals, providing areas also for other functions while hosting other events. Private meetings are welcome also in the air-conditioned portion of the clubhouse.

The Driving Range- Has lived up to its best condition and purpose. Because probably of its maintenance and the condition of range balls that the range offers, players make good use of the driving range for various reasons. From practicing all aspects of the game, to waiting for one's playing partners, to simply relaxing while waiting for the traffic in Alabang to ease up, this writer feels that the Range area may be given an "A", in relation to the other driving ranges in all the courses in the country. Although the food selection is very much limited, the drinks, especially the ice-cold beer are available at all times. Practice at the Manila Southwoods seemed to be a major concern when the planners built this course.
