Titleist 975J

975J Performance Goals

- Increased Ball Speed                                 - Slightly Higher Launch Angle

- Reduced Spin                                            - Increased Distance

- Straighter Ball Flight                                   - Great Looks

975J Primary Features

- Larger Head Size and Thinner Face Construction

- Face Thickness Variation and Internal Bulge/Roll Design

- Higher COR (coefficient of restitution)

- Strategic Internal Weighting for Optimal Ball Flight and Control

- Classic “True Pear” Profile

Once again, Titleist comes out with another impressive driver marked 975J.
( I suppose the "J" means jumbo, or for you really high handicapers, the "J" could also stand for JABONG!)

I recently tried one of these drivers and it is definitely more forgiving than its older brother the 975D. With its total head volume of 312 cc no wonder why this head has a higher MOI. (Moment of Inertia - Look it up in our Terminology section if you are wondering what I am talking about)

Shaft length is exactly the same as the 975D at 45" and pretty much looks the same except for the size. By the way, the one I tried had a Grafalloy Pro Lite S- Flex shaft installed in it.

On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this club a 7.5. (perhaps if I had a better swing, I am sure my rating would be higher. :-)

Retail Price in the states is US$540.00
